Hotel for non-smokers

It is required to comply with the rules of the health lifestyle in the hotel “Yuzhnaya”. Anti-smoking campaigns are run actively all round the world and Volgograd follows this tendency. The hotel “Yuzhnaya” is the first hotel in Volgograd where smoking in all rooms and guest areas is absolutely prohibited. From September 1, 2011 the guests and visitors are allowed to smoke only in the restaurant and the bar.

The Director of the hotel Mr. Zverev Alexander is sure that more tourists will choose to stay at the non-smoking hotel even if they are smokers, as everyone needs clean and fresh air in a room. It took us a long time to make such a decision: we analysed guests’ comments, made dry cleaning of curtains and carpets, pillows and blankets, thoroughly ventilated and cleaned rooms from the ceiling to the floor. Our decision was also reasoned by the fire safety rules of the hotel. Also this rule is applied in respect to the hotel staff. These measures will protect our guests and the hotel staff from the second-hand smoking.
